The property is comprised of a small quay in the river, which was simultaneously used as a wharf for loading the typical rabelo boats; as well as a small rustic house (cottage), fully rebuilt, which displays an inscription found in the door threshold dating from 1839. The typical and old Douro terrace walls in the property are witness to the history of the vineyard.
QUINTA DO JAVALI | MARIA LUISA | RED 2011 | DOC DOURO
Core loaded with dark ruby color and halo with slight brown nuances.
Initial nose with spices (black pepper), notes of bush and understory. Cigar and shale box aromas follow. After some time of aeration, notes of black plum and black chocolate appear. As a result of a patient wait, the ripe black fruit appears in all its splendor.
"Great" mouth, with a huge richness in well-balanced tannins with a surprising acidic freshness.
The immense structure supports with "grandeur" the fruity flavors of black plum. Even "terrifying" sensations arise, again with a dizzying freshness.
