Intro: A “méthode champenoise” DOC Alentejo sparkling brut rosé was first produced from the red grape Touriga Nacional by the Eugénio de Almeida Foundation in 2010.
Region: Alentejo, Evora (D.O.C)
Grapes: Touriga Nacional
Vinification: Fermented in stainless steel tanks with lees aging and stirring fir six months. Second fermentation in the bottle by the classic “méthode champenoise” followed by another 36 months of lees aging and stirring.
Tasting Notes: Dark deep red in color with violet hues. It has an intense nose with spicy notes and notes of wild berries, forest, and a touch of vanilla. It is full of volume to the palate, with a fine structure with notes of chocolate and mint. Floral and cinnamon notes, with a harmonious and persistent end.
