Intro: This wine takes its name from the Santa Maria Scala Coeli Monastery where monks live in silence and daily prayer. Only produced in exceptional years and from grape varietals not common in the Alentejo region

Aging: 15 months in new French Oak Barrels
Tasting Notes: Heavy garnet coloured wine. Aroma of forest fruit, confined plum, dark chocolate, rockrose and resin. Very fresh in the mouth, with excellent acidity, associated with firm tannins that will ensure great capacity for evolution. Good concentration, with elegant finish.
