The Venue: 1864 Lobby Bar and Lounge, Sofitel Singapore City Centre

In 1864, the Tanjong Pagar Dock Company was founded, marking the beginning of the district’s evolution from the fishing village of the past to the urban jungle it is today. We commemorate this important year with our stylish bar lounge.

The Kitchen: The sizzle of prime steak and sustainably-sourced seafood grilled to perfection on white-hot coals. There’s a custom-designed Himalayan salt-tiled dry-aging cabinet that creates an intense depth of flavour for our steaks.

The Chef: Executive Chef Eric Seow 

The Cuisine: Authentic French and Refined Chinese

Born in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, Eric’s flair for cooking started at a young age when he picked-up Asian- style cooking from his parents. Eric’s light-hearted and jovial nature both in and out of the kitchen translates into the dishes that he creates – classic flavors with a contemporary twist.

Throughout his 20 years of experience, Eric has worked in several award-winning kitchens with several Michelin-starred chefs. Eric has also dipped his toes into various fields of the culinary world including pastry and banquet, making him extremely versatile in his craft.
